A collaborative creation by Casey and Kayci Treu, Brent and Katie Mecham, and Hannah and Landon Anderson, this formation ballroom medley set a new record in this style for the company (PBD) and raised the bar for the competitive field. Anchored by a rich orchestral score infused with sweeping strings and riveting sound effects, the piece fused inventive costume design with astute choreography. The ladies’ dresses evoked the elegant form of cellos, functioning not only as visual statements but as integral performance elements that echoed the music itself. Paired with choreography that was technically demanding yet delightfully cheeky, the medley balanced refinement with wit, exploring playfulness through a lens of sophistication. The result was a bold, cohesive work that captivated audiences and judges alike, earning an impressive National 3rd Place overall. Voted an audience favourite.
